Do you book flights, hotels, or activities for us?
No. I am a trip planner, not a travel agency. I design your itinerary and recommend options, but you book directly with hotels, airlines, and activity providers.
I keep things simple: I offer a fixed fee depending on the number of weeks of your trip:
1 week: 250EUR or CHF
2 weeks: 400EUR or CHF
3 weeks: 500EUR or CHF
additional week: 100EUR or CHF
I plan around your priorities using five dimensions: Food, Activity (sports/nature), Spiritual, Architecture, Culture.
In your first call, I’ll identify which dimensions matter most, then compose a route that reflects them.
I can design the trip in one of three styles (or a mix):
Intensive: smart routing, more highlights, efficient days
Relax: fewer moves, more comfort and downtime
Hands-on experiences: workshops like cooking, crafts, tea, guided walks
Yes. I have often traveled with my daugher when she was still small and I know how to design trips for real family life: fewer unnecessary transfers, downtime built in, and options for “low-energy” days. I'll also advise on what is stroller-friendly or better with older kids.
What do we receive from you at the end?
You’ll receive:
A day-by-day itinerary with a realistic family pace
A hotel/ryokan shortlist (with pros/cons, neighborhoods, and booking links)
A transport plan (which trains to take, what to reserve, and how)
A curated list of food spots, activities, and cultural highlights
A map of saved pins (Google Maps list), plus practical tips
Yes. I will recommend neighborhoods and provide a shortlist of specific hotels/ryokan that fit your budget and preferences, with clear reasons why.
Yes. Transport is a big part of my service. You’ll get a clear plan for trains/metro, airport transfers, and any key reservations (and guidance on whether passes make sense).
That’s very common. I can start from scratch: your dates, budget, and interests are enough for a first proposal.
Ideally 3 to 6 months before departure, especially for peak seasons (spring blossom / autumn leaves). Last-minute planning is sometimes possible, depending on availability.
No, I focus exclusively on Japan.
I will provide a detailed roadbook that has all the information to get around. During your trip, I am available on messaging, but as I am in a different time zone, I can not commit to emergency support but I am available for general guidance if needed.
I prefer to work in English, but I understand Dutch and German also. And Japanese of course.
Yes! All my recommendations are independent. I am not paid to promote specific hotels or tours and I do not get any commissions.
Book a free intro call, tell me your dates, budget range, and what kind of traveling you love and I'll recommend the best package and next steps.
